Magee Board of Alderman met Tuesday, February, 6, 2018. Alderman Baker was out of town but was able to participate in meeting and voting via Skype.

Mayor Dale Berry disclosed the City of Magee Beautification committee and officers as the following:  Laura Lynn Barnes, President, Nona Lee, Jan Magee, Baily Brown, Amanda Blakeney, and Christian Carrico. Mayor Berry reminded everyone that Ride the Block would be March 2, 2018.

Claims Dockets and minutes were approved. An approval was given  to administer FY18 Airport Grant. The board voted on resolution for FY18 Community Development Block Grant.  Permission was given to proceed  with application in hopes of receiving money to acquire an Senior Citizen Building. Permission was given for Representative Andy Gibson to proceed  with a golf course ordinance for the City of Magee.

In the Recreation Department, Splash Pad season  passes were approved at a price of $35.00 per child.

Discussion continues on how to handle food trucks within the city as well as grills. No decision was made. Discussion  will be continued at a later board meeting.
