Lucy Craig Stonestreet Kennedy, 90, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Covington County Hospital in Collins, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, February 5, 1931, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi, and a visitation on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. The burial will follow in Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Shields and Bro. Timothy Beard will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mrs. Lucy Kennedy was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Taylorsville, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max M. Kennedy, Sr.; father, Leonard Stonestreet; mother, Doris Lewis; step-father, Bolivar Lewis, Sr.; one brother, David Lewis; one sister-in-law, Wanza Lewis.
Survivors include two loving children, Craig Kennedy of LaPlace, LA, and Malone Kennedy, Jr. of Taylorsville; one granddaughter, Thames Kennedy of Memphis, TN; one brother, Bolivar Lewis, Jr. of Seabrook, TX one sister-in-law, Nancy Lewis of Austin, TX; and a host of other family members and friends.
