Loyal Bern Herrin, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall.
He was born on October 12, 1930, to his parents, the (late) Travis Vardaman Herrin and Clara Verdee (Baker) Herrin in Covington County. He retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company.
Mr. Herrin is survived by his loving wife, Ida Sue (Grubbs) Herrin; two sons, Jeff Herrin (Stacey) , Tony Herrin (Gela); daughter, Sandra Herrin; two sisters, Bobbie Broome, Annette French; four grandchildren, Mark Herrin, Mason Herrin, Shelby Lane, Hailey Herrin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laura Jane Herrin.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Tutor Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bryan Shufelt and Bro. Bob Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Stonewall Baptist Church Cemetery, Shivers, MS.
