Louise Blair Reeves, 93, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, June 19, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Thursday, May 5, 1927, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Dabney Bailey and Bro. Chris Cromwell will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mrs. Reeves was a member of Crossroads Holiness Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a sister. She was a devoted Christian that taught her family to love God with all their, soul, and mind. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Reeves; two sons, Willie Dale Reeves and Thomas Ray Reeves; parents, Tom Cole and Annie Coatney Blair; and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Mac Reeves of Mendenhall; one daughter-in-law, Amanda Reeves of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Scotty Reeves and his wife, Brooke of Pearl, Linda Jernigan and husband, Bennie of Mendenhall, and Denessa Singh and husband, Makhan of Pearl; five great- grandchildren; twelve great-great- grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Ivey of Quitman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Jernigan, Paul Powell, Jim Noland, Scott Bailey, Billy Clark, and Scotty Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Jernigan, Brent Durio, and Hubert Jernigan.
