Look and See Event at Mississippi State Parks

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) invites you to join us for an opportunity to explore ongoing construction and hear what is upcoming for Mississippi State Parks! Taking place simultaneously, all five parks will be welcoming visitors on March 30, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to experience the excitement at the Look and See Event.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the following five parks:

Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park – 10 cabins, new fishing piers, and lake improvement.

Clarkco State Park – 6 cabins and tennis/pickleball courts.

Roosevelt State Park – 52 campsites, 14 cabins, water feature upgrades, and tennis courts.

Paul B. Johnson State Park – 16 cabins, 65 campsites, office/lodge, and camp store.

Percy Quin State Park – 67 campsites, 9 cabins, lodge, 3 bathhouses, 2 comfort stations, 2 playground pavilions, 1 day-use pavilion, and camp store.

All guests are invited to stop by the park office or lodge to hear from park representatives regarding the projects taking place in addition to upcoming plans before heading out to explore the current progress on renovations.

These projects are a major step in our improvement plan, and we are excited to be entering a new era for Mississippi State Parks. It is our goal to elevate and enrich the current offerings at Mississippi State Parks while also preserving the timeless elements our guests have loved for generations.
