On Saturday, May 7th, Girl Scout Troop 7341 from Mize and Girl Scout Troop 5542 from Raleigh visited the WLBT Studios in Jackson.  Heather Sophia, Weekend Meterologist, gave the girls a tour of the building and the studio.  The girls were able to meet several different people at the studio.  They talked with weekend anchors Rosalynn Anderson and CJ LeMaster, and Sports Director Chris Hudginson.  They met the guy who keeps everything running and on the air (the brain of the operation, as it was called), one of the producers and one of the camera men who goes out and videos on scene reporters.  Once the girls got to the studio where the news is broadcasted, they were able to see how things work.  They were even able to “forecast” the weather!  The girls, and moms, had a blast.  Heather Sophia did a wonderful job of taking on this group of girls.
