Four local businesses were broken into over the weekend: Spoiled Rotten, Picket Fences, Attitudes, and City Florist. An attempt was made to enter Polk’s Gifts but was unsuccessful.
According to Magee PD, the front doors and windows were broken into and the intruder or intruders went straight to the cash registers. None of the business keep a large amount of money. A green K-2 cooler was taken from Attitudes. The cooler was located by the front door of the business.
A large heavy object was used to break the windows and doors. Polk’s Gifts door did not shatter; therefore, the intruders were unable to gain entry to Polk’s.
The burglaries are still under investigation.
