Linsey Rogers, 91, of Brandon, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born on June 19, 1925, to his (late) parents, David Andrew Rogers and Rebecca Irene (Wise) in Avery MS.
Mr. Rogers served in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946. He married his wife, Walter Rene (Bynum) Rogers in 1946. He retired from a major oil company as a rig superintendent.
He is survived by his son, David Rogers; two daughters, Lynda Rideout, Kimberly McAlpin; nine grandchildren, Amanda Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Jessica Heinrich, Charlie Rogers, Ron Burns, Katie Burns, Lyndsey McAlpin, Jasmine Ham, Briana McAlpin and seven great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Monday, February 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee with an hour of visitation prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Kennedy Springs Cemetery with Bro. Donnie Guy officiating.
