Linda Pruitt, owner of Hand’s Nursery for 47 years, was recognized at the Mississippi Nursery convention as the MS Nursery Person of the Year!
Linda had no idea she was receiving the award. Her husband, Dr. Charles Pruitt, kept the secret and pulled off a good one! Linda had no idea …and actually thought she was going to a medical meeting! Charles said surprising Linda was not easy!
Linda stated that as the meeting progressed, she kept thinking “this is a weird medical meeting.” Not until the speaker began her biography and said “Magee, Mississippi” did Linda realized the speaker was talking about her!
For forty-seven years (in April), Linda has served the people of Magee and the state of Mississippi.
A true horticulturist, Linda knows her plants!
