Linda H Purnell, 74 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Friday, October 20, 1950 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Taylorsville. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

Linda never met a stranger, she would easily strike up a conversation with anyone, and chances are they had heard her stories before. With her bright personality and beautiful smile, she created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Linda had a deep love for animals, providing her pets with the most loving home. Above all, she cherished her family and friends dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph Purnell;  parents, Thomas  E.  Hull and Grace Harrelson Hull.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Purnell  Walker;  grandchildren, Cheyenne  Walker  Murphy  (Nick ), Tiffany Walker and Ethan Walker;  sister, Diane Hull Duplantis;  great grandchildren, Jett Murphy, Graham Murphy, Kyleigh Walker and Blake Walker;  sister-in-law, Kay Mason (Pete); and a host of cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.
