The Scriptural passage for today is found in Psalm 145:8: “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.” The psalmist enjoyed a very close walk with God and penned stirring songs and beautiful poetry of unending praise and thankfulness to the Lord of his life. For the Christian, the words of the psalmist should mirror our emotions of our communion and walk with God. We should never hold back in acknowledging to others God’s bountiful mercies, His wonderful love, and His loving compassion. He is slow to anger, but as a good earthly father wishes his children to tow the line and observe house rules, so does our heavenly Father expect it of His children. Amen!
