Lee Cockrell, 56, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his residence in Magee, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, October 21, 1964.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee. The Burial will follow in Rials Creek Cemetery. Bro. Ricky Reece and Bro. Brian Dickens will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mr. Cockrell loved his boys, sisters, and niece. He worked his whole life as a carpenter and enjoyed working in the watermelon fields along with the Creels. Country music was his favorite and he lived life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Katherine Cockrell; sister, Lynn Cockrell.
Survivors include his children, Brian Cockrell and Bubba Cockrell both of Magee; sisters, Betty Lou Walker of Wesson, Diane Sullivan of Mendenhall, Gail Cockrell (caregiver, Marie Phillips) of Magee, Sheila Gill (Mark) of Wesson; favorite niece, Tanya Baeuerle of Mendenhall; mother of Brian Cockrell, Annette Green; mother of Bubba Cockrell, Stephanie Martin; best friends Ricky Creel and Trent Craft; and host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Zak Baeuerle, Jacob Roberts, Chad Creel, Trent Craft, Taylor McClain, Joseph Lowery, and Ethan McClain.
