Lady Wolves netters defeat Holmes 8-1

GOODMAN – The Co-Lin Lady Wolves tennis team defeated the Holmes Lady Bulldogs 8-1 in tennis action yesterday. The Lady Wolves improve to 2-3 on the season.
In doubles action, Co-Lin’s Allie Dear and Caroleah Brister defeated Anna Clair Shores and Lori Nesbitt 8-2 at No. 2 and Carlianne Alderman and Brandi McInnis won by forfeit at No. 3.The Lady Bulldogs only win came at No. 1 doubles as Jenifer Rule and Allie Grudge defeated Co-Lin’s Madison Warren and Carly Riley 8-4.
The Lady Wolves swept all six singles matches. Madison Warren beat Jennifer Rule 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1, Allie Dear took care of Allie Frudge 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2, Brandi McInnis blanked Anna Clair Shores 6-0. 6-0 at No. 3, Caroleah Brister defeated Katherine Wood 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4, Carlianne Alderman blanked Lori Nesbitt 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and Carly Riley won by forfeit at No. 6.
The Lady Wolves travel to Booneville to take on Northeast Mississippi on Friday beginning at 2 p.m.ladywolvestennis
