Mr. Patterson was a devoted and life-long member of Magee Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he wore many hats among them being chairman of the deacons, Sunday school superintendent, and teacher.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He served as an executive board member of the Simpson County Baptist Association for over thirty years.  He was a retired owner/operator of Patterson Trucking.  At the age of eleven, his father put him behind the wheel for the first time and since then he drove thousands of miles and been to every state but two.  The only thing he loved more than trucking was God and his family, which was evident in his daily life.  He will be missed by all of his family and his truck driving buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Thelma Patterson; one brother, Henry Patterson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years Sheila Patterson; one son, Kenneth Bradley Patterson (Susan) of Canton; two daughters, Kimberly Sullivan (Josh) of Mize and Kayla Ware (Zach) of Magee; three grandchildren, Faith Sullivan of Mize, Jake Sullivan of Mize, and Thomas Patterson of Canton; two sisters, Twylla Grant (Larry) of Pearl and Lara Craft (Brent) of Mendenhall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Mangum, Pat Patterson, Tony Austin, Kevin Austin, David Murphy, Donald Wayne Bridges, Clay Griffith, and Robin Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Sullivan, Thomas Patterson, Mike Davidson, Joe Moser, Billy Pinkham, J.K. Presley, Joe Ates, Ray Corbin, Dennis Middleton, Danny Wayne Middleton, Anthony Bergeron, and the rest of his truck driving buddies.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Magee Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 704 Rose Ave, Magee, Mississippi  39111.
