Katie Jailynn Rogers of Collins, Mississippi, is the daughter of Mark and Jamie Rogers.  Katie is the granddaughter of Terry and Sandy Ward and Mitchell and Ann Rogers.  Katie has two younger siblings, Anna Grace and Drew Rogers.  The Rogers family also have a Lassie Collie named Lady and a cat named George.  Katie’s hobbies include painting, hunting, running, and video games.  Katie also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and volunteering.  Katie has been awarded the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, an award given to students making a positive influence on their community through volunteer community service.  Katie’s favorite subject in school is Art.  Katie is involved in FBLA, FCA, and the Archery team at Simpson.  Katie is also a student council representative and a senior class officer at Simpson.  After highschool, Katie wishes to attend Jones County Junior College and pursue a career in Pediatric Oncology.  Katie’s main goal in life is to help and serve others.  Congratulations to this week’s Simpson Senior of the Week, Katie Jailynn Rogers!
