 Karen Elizabeth Ghafouri-Ashtiani, 69 of Brandon, MS passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, October 9, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Billy M King Colonial Chapel in Collins, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. Billy M King Colonial Chapel in Collins, MS. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Elder John David Durham will officiate. Colonial Chapel of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.

Karen Ashtiani had a heart that never stopped giving to the many she loved, and only saw good in people. Such a void is left by the departure of this amazing soul for other realms.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lukens, Sr of Brandon; parents, Floyd Durham and Bonnie Jones Durham; brother, Floyd Durham, Jr.; sister, Barbara Pepper.

Survivors include her husband, Don Ashtiani of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Hayden Lukens of Brandon, Nevaeh Lukens of Brandon, Ashley Lukens, Michael Lukens (Stephanie ) of Kansas and Jennifer Lukens of Richland; great- grandchildren, Emmitt Stephens, Elijah Stephens, John Michael Lukens, Alana Guthrie, Adalyn Guthrie and Avery Robertson; brother, John David Durham (Deann ) of Pearl , MS; nephew, Corey Durham of Kissime , Florida; nieces, Kylie Durham of Pearl and Alyssa Durham of Pearl.
