Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Dawn Beam stopped by MageeNews to inform me of the exciting things going on in her life!  Dawn and I have become friends…I have much admiration for her and her love of children.  She served as the 10th District Chancery Judge in Forest, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, and Perry counties.  During her chancery judgeship, Dawn worked for the rights of children.  She led the effort to address abuse and neglect in Marion County.

She and her husband Dr. Stephen Beam have five children.  Judge Beam was appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Phil Bryant.

Judge Beam is very involved in Resources 100 which involves foster care.  She and First Lady Deborah Bryant have joined forces to promote the involvement and commitment to foster care.  Now, Dawn didn’t just stop here…she is now working with a group called ReNew MS which deals with drug abuse.

Judge Beam does a much better job of telling about these programs than I can write!!! Take time to listen to her interview.  You just might find an area you can be of help!

Justice Dawn Beam is seeking re-election on November 8th.  She covers:  Simpson, Smith, Jasper, Clarke, Adams, Franklin, Lincoln, Lawrence, Covington, Jones, Wayne, Wilkinson, Amite, Pike, Walthall, Marion, Lamar, Forrest, Perry, Greene, Pearl River, Hancock, Stone, George, Harrison, and Jackson counties.
