John Royce Daley, 86 of Mendenhall, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025 at his residence in Mendenhall, MS. He was born Monday, August 1, 1938 in Carson, MS.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Rials Creek Church, 185 Rials Creek Rd, Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in Rials Creek Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Bro. David Hanna and Bro. Charles Meadows will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
John was a family man and a friend to all. He was someone who never met a stranger, worked hard, and lived his faith boldly. He was a true example to others. He found joy in collecting rocks and arrowheads, always spotting the beauty in the little things. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Daley; mother, Margueritte Clark Daley; brothers, Larry Daley, Tommy Daley, Buck Daley.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Fay Carlisle Daley; sons, John William Daley and John Bradley Daley; daughters, Deborah Jo Daley Palmer, Rana Steed Wilson (James) and Shelly Steed Langdon (Robert); grandchildren, Nathan Palmer (Kia), Jason Palmer (Kara), Joseph Palmer, Charla King, Dana Wilson, Ashley Jones (Bret), Brittany Prince (Landis) and Jana Withrow; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Marshall Daley, Patrick Daley and George Daley; sisters, Martha Hutchinson, Judy Smith, Jeanette Whitt and Thresia Daley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers will be John Neil, Rusty Sherman, Robert Langdon, Steve Prestwood, Nathan Palmer, and Jason Palmer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Palmer and David Brooks.
