John Barry Hylender

( May 1, 1964 – September 17, 2024 )

John Barry Hylender, 60 of Magee, MS passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at his home Magee, MS. He was born Friday, May 1, 1964 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Ann Hylender Hopkins and the late W.H. Hylender.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Gary Roberts will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

The highlight of his days was being with family and meeting his friends at McDonald’s to drink coffee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Hylender; parents, W.H. Hylender and Ann Hylender Hopkins; sister-in-law, Sherry Hylender.

Survivors include his brothers, Rickey Hylender (Betty), Tim Hylender  (Dianne), Craig  Hylender and David  Hylender  (Joyce); brother-in-law, Pete  Barnett; and a host of  nieces and nephews
