Magee’s Emergency Manager and Building Inspector Joe Worrell resigned from his position at the Tuesday night, June 1, 2021 Board of Alderman meeting. Joe’s resignation is official June 11, 2021
Joe, who has served the city for 15 years and coordinated the Veterans Program for the City for several years, will continue to work locally. Joe was instrumental in the flag display on Highway 49 across from Zips.
Mayor Berry appointed Phillip Magee to complete Joe’s term. City employees will be rehired after July 1, 2021 when the new board is sworn in.
