Joanna Harris Price died in The Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall, MS on January 31, 2016 at the age of 76.

Mrs. Price is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Maxwell Cole Price of Magee, MS, her 3
Children, John Maxwell Price (Pam) of Charleston, MS, Philip Glen Price (Terri) of Hurley,
MS, and Gail Price Brown (Barry) of Margaret, AL; 4 siblings, Eugene Harris of Middleton, Tennessee,
Aubrey Harris of Glen Allen, MS, Dorothy Edwards of Edwards, MS, and Larry Harris of Wake Forest, North Carolina; and 7 grandchildren, Sarah Joy and Cole Price, Abbey, Jared, and Charlee Price, and Drew Sullivan and Daniale Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene Wesley Harris and Minnie Gray Harris of Grenada, MS, and her sister Lillian Bevill of Memphis.
Joanna Harris Price was born on June 2, 1939 in Yalobusha County near Enid, MS. She graduated from Leland High School in 1958. She enrolled in Mississippi College (MC) in 1959. Marriage and the birth of her first two children delayed the completion of her degree. However, in 1994 she completed a degree in Education from MC. She faithfully supported the ministry of her husband as he served as pastor throughout Mississippi. At various times, she worked as a secretary, assistant teacher, school bus driver, teacher, and librarian. She loved serving as a Sunday School Teacher.
Funeral will be Wednesday February 3, 2016 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church Magee, with visitation Tuesday February 2 from 5:00 till 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee and 1:00PM till Service time at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church in Magee.
Rev. Buddy Keys, Rev. John Adcock, and Rev. Jerry File will conduct the services. Interment will be at New Hebron Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to https://www.colonialchapelmageemendenhall.com/. The family would like to thank the staff at Bedford Care Center and the church family of FBC Magee for compassionate support.
