It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved JoAnn “JoJo” Harper, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
JoJo lived a life marked by love, compassion, friendship, and service. She attended Magee High School, continued her education in college, and devoted most of her career to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. There, she touched the lives of countless children and families, leaving a lasting impact through her kindness and care.
JoJo never met a stranger and had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued. Her warm smile, generous heart, and genuine love for people made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
She was deeply loved by her family, cherished by her friends, and admired by many.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Harper Jett, Dennis Turnipseed, her nephew, John Leslie Jett (Haley), great nieces, Pacey Jett, and Penelope Jett. She is also remembered by extended family and friends whose lives she enriched.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Hilda Harper, Father, Joseph Leslie Harper Jr. and her niece, Alyson Michelle Jett.
JoJo’s love, kindness, and generous spirit will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
