James served his country in the United States Army until March 4, 1968. His last duty assignment was with the Co A 17th Bn 4th Tng Regt in Fort Jackson, SC. He was employed with Eaton as a production supervisor for 35 years until his retirement. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his loving wife, Rita Wyatt Gibbons; son, James Cory Gibbons (Ruth); daughter, Gina Hardy (Marty); sister, Merle Corley and four grandchildren, Abbie Hardy, Emma Hardy, James Gibbons and Wyatt Gibbons
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the service following at 12:00 at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS. Bro. Andy Delancy will officiate. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Magee, MS.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
