James Robert Hays, 72, of Florence, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was born Wednesday, November 17, 1948.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401.
He was preceded in death by parents, William G. and Velma Hays; paternal grandparents, William G and Ada Hays; maternal grandparents, Robert Gladen and Alafair Gladen.
Survivors include his brother, Charles Glenn Hays (Darlene); niece, Mistie Rose Desper (Dusty); great- nephew, Elijah Glen Desper; great- niece, Abigail Rose Desper; aunt, Velma Gladen Smith.
