Jackie Arlene Lassiter, 65, of Magee

Jackie Lassiter, known to all as Jackie, 65, of Magee, MS gained her heavenly angel wings on May 10, 2023, after battling a lengthy illness. She was born on November 13, 1957, to Margaret Ann McCarty and Jack A Lassiter.
Jackie graduated from Magee High School where she was a member of the Magee High Marching Band. She then went on to further her education at CoLin in Wesson, MS, graduating with an associate degree in dental hygiene. She worked with UMC Dental School for several years. She has worked for the last twenty-three years as an associate with Walmart of Magee, MS, working in several different areas. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Magee, MS. She loved her family and her work family more than anything and especially her cat, Gizmo.
Jackie is survived by her sisters, Judy Johnson of Magee, MS, Brenda Rankin (Don) Mendenhall, MS; nephews, Donald Rankin, Frank Holland, Zeno Mangum (Dena), Phillip Rankin, Les Johnson (Heather), Shane Puckett (Cindy), Christopher Puckett (Samantha); niece, Lauren Calhoun (Josh); special cousins, Rose Mary Crocker (Buddy), Patti Sullivan, Johnny McCarty and Olivia Semler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Ann Crawley (Quinn) and Jack A. Lassiter; maternal grandparents, H.F. McCarty Sr. and Floy McCarty; sister, Cindy Williams; uncles, H.F. McCarty Jr. and Jimmy McNair; aunts, Mary Ann McCarty, Frankie Pat McCarty, Mary McCarty McNair; brothers-in-law, Les Johnson, Zeno Mangum Jr; cousins, Kathy Flynt and Marsha Wells.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Magee, MS from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services are at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the church with Bro. Chris Rankin and Pastor Tony McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Collins Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee, MS.
