Before a packed courthouse filled with family and friends, the swearing-in of local county officials took place at 10:00 AM. The Honorable Judge Eddie Bowen presided.

Newly elected District Attorney Matt Sullivan was the first official to take the oath.  Following the oath of the Sheriff, Donald O’Cain, and County Superintendent of Education, Greg Paes, the courtroom erupted into applause.  Each official made a short talk following their oath.

The complete swearing in ceremony is available on the Home page of MageeNews.com under Watch Live and on the article entitled “Swearing In.”
