…and I still have not completed my Christmas shopping…but following the death of Jacob Allan, everything just takes on a different look and feel. My heart, as well as tons of people in the Simpson County area, is broken. Through prayer, our support, and love, the family will move forward one day at a time.
Many people have said, “How can I help?” Here is a suggestion. Allan family friend Jonathan Blackwell is coordinating a Candle light vigil Tuesday night at 7 PM near the Magee Fire Department Station (end of Main Street). People are to bring candles and monetary gifts for the family. The “helmet” will be passed. Anyone may contribute at this time to the family. Philip Allan, Jacob’s dad, is a long time member of the Magee Fire Department. Continue to pray for the family…the days ahead…the years ahead will always be difficult. When I talked with Michael (Jacob’s brother) I told him…”you now have a new life you never ever wanted…but you must choose to live in this life in a way that would make Jacob proud.”
“God will sustain you ever single day…just lean on our Savior because He will carry you during these days and the days ahead.”
These days call for friends and family to keep the family going…but it is through prayer and God’s grace that the Allan family can face tomorrow.
Arrangements will be announced as received.
MageeNews.com plans to live stream the prayer vigil Tuesday night. If you cannot attend and would like to make a donation to the family, contact the Magee Fire Department. When additional information is given to me concerning donations, I will post.
Blessings to each of you on this day that God has given
