The theme of the 2015 City of Magee Christmas Parade was “It’s Christmas!”…and let me tell you, Main Street Magee looked like Christmas.

The streets were lined with smiling faces, young and old, enjoying the sites and sounds of a parade.

Leading the parade was Chloe White, Magee’s 2015-16 Miss Hospitality and Grand Marshal of the 2015 parade. Following Chloe were emergency vehicles with flashers and sirens whirling; motorcycles, bands, beautiful girls, floats, special cars and trucks…even the MageeNews.com Golf Cart and the “Mooie Looie” truck filled with “hunters” (Michael Allan, Trevor Maddox, Matt Mangum, Colby and Keton Cockrell).

The floats were beautiful. I know the judges had a difficult time making a decision. Winners were: 1st Place—Mt Zion Christian School; 2nd Place—Magee General Hospital/HealthTrust; and 3rd Place—Boswell Regional Center.

Of course the highlight of the parade was the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause!

Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Magee for sponsoring the parade. Thank you to the police and volunteers who worked to keep everything rolling.
