“It’s a God thing!”
Some friends and I were having lunch and we were discussing an acquaintance’s recent decisions. The acquaintance had said about the decision “it’s a God thing!” Have you ever heard someone using God to justify a decision? Of course you have! I have seen many people make foolish decisions and tell anyone that questioned the wisdom of that decision that “It’s God’s Will”. Too many times we blame God for our decisions. Decisions that we made without any consultation with God, without prayer, without studying His word for guidance.
In Matthew’s gospel, 15:8-9, he is quoting from Isaiah, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, Their worship is a farce, for they teach manmade ideas as commands from God”.
