The Scriptural passage for today is found in Psalm 73:26: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” The psalmist proclaims in word and song God’s place in his heart and life. God is supreme, a constant presence in all areas of his existence. Can we say as much? Do a quick self-examination and be honest. Is God first and foremost, or is He almost an afterthought? Let us rejoice and join with the psalmist by letting everyone know that God is the center of our lives. It is He on whom we rely for strength and comfort. “Wonderful freedom! Glorious freedom! No more in chains of sin I repine. Jesus, the Glorious Emancipator, now and forever, He shall be mine!” Amen!
