The Scriptural passage for this morning is found in John 13:35: “By this, all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” These are the very words of Jesus, dear friends, as He was telling those about Him how to act as His followers. We cannot be true disciples of Jesus if we do not possess the love of God. Remember the gospel song “They Will Know We Are Christians by Our Love”? That love must be evident–so evident as if we were wearing a badge or a placard with LOVE emblazoned on it. So, let’s do a quick self-evaluation. Are we loving? Is it evident in our daily walk? If not, we need an intervention. The love of God reaches from sky to sky. How far does our love extend?
Now, let’s get out there today and show some love, some joy, and some kindness. We’ll have many opportunities throughout the day; so, let us not be stingy with it. Jesus was all about love. So should we. Amen! Happy Tuesday!
