Hinds CC Medical Laboratory Technology students win regional competition
JACKSON – A team of Medical Laboratory Technology students at Hinds Community College Jackson Campus-Nursing/Allied Health Center won first place at a regional competition earlier this month.
Albert Chance McFadden, of Richland, Teresa Langford, of Crystal Springs, Drake Pawar, of Braxton, Stephanie Traweek, of Raymond and Destiny Johnson, of Crystal Springs, took the prize at this year’s Mississippi and Louisiana State Societies for Clinical Laboratory Science Student Bowl Competition, held April 8-11 in Monroe, La.
They defeated teams from 13 other community colleges in each state at the event, held in conjunction with the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Louisiana and Mississippi 2019 Joint Annual Meeting.
