Hilma Virginia “Ginger” Searcy, age 70, passed away suddenly at her residence in Puckett, MS.
Ginger was born July 16, 1948, in Jackson, MS to Howard and Dell Walling Hankins. She was a homemaker. Ginger graduated from Brandon High School and attended Hinds Jr. College and Belhaven College. She was raised as a Methodist but in recent years had attended Puckett Baptist Church and Union Baptist Church.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy Searcy; and her sons, Jay and Mack Searcy.
Ginger is survived by her sisters, Charlotte (Skip) Burnham of Brandon and Patty (Jeff) Boone of Magee; her nephews, Dan Burnham and Jeffrey Boone; her nieces, Leigh McBride and Maura (Andy) Anderson; her great nephews, Cass Garner, Eli Boone, and Cade Anderson; and her great nieces, Madison McBride and Anna Grace and Addison Anderson.
Visitation is from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, November 01, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 02, 2018, at 10:00am at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Burnham Cemetery near Puckett.
