The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Proverbs 31:27-28: “She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” We often hear these verses quoted in worship services on Mother’s Day. “Who can find a virtuous woman? Her price is far above that of rubies.” A woman who devotes her energies to her family is one to be highly praised. There is no greater calling. Not that a woman cannot have a career. We just know, however, that the wife is the heart of the home. Wear the title proudly. I commend each of you who fit the bill. Congratulations!
If possible, let’s be sure to tell our mothers, wives, and aunts that we appreciate them for the sacrifices they make or have made for us.
