Harold Adcox, 81 of Mount Olive, MS passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his residence with his family in Mount Olive, MS. He was born Sunday, May 24, 1942 in Arm, MS.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 Eight Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, MS. Bro. James Fortenberry and Bro. Will McNeese will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Harold was a proud Mason of Oak Hill Lodge #553, Knight Templar, and Shriner in Magee. He was an avid hunter. He was a jokester, and a story-teller. He never met a stranger, and could talk to anyone for as long as they wanted to talk. He was a family man through and through, but the most important part was his wife Doris and his 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Matthew Adcox; mother, Ida Mandy Fortenberry Adcox; brother, Jerrell “Dock” Adcox.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Ann Gill Adcox, whom he married 61 years ago on March 22, 1963; sons, Philip Harold Adcox and Michael A. Adcox; daughter, Michele Adcox Sullivan; grandchildren, Brooke Stanley (Austin), Kristopher Morgan Adcox (Mamie Soluri), Lauren Barrett, Karringtyn Sullivan and Kannon Sullivan; brother, Glen Adcox (Rachel); and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Adcox, Mark Adcox, Kevin Middleton, Buster McCarty, Glen David Adcox, and Perry Sorey.
Special music will be performed by Kathy Whittington.
