Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful fathers!  Many of you are like me, my father is deceased…and there isn’t a day that I don’t miss that wonderful man!  His favorite saying was “if you can’t say something good about somebody, don’t say anything at all.”  Wise words from a wise man.

Not everyone. I called him “Mr. Dickey”. With a lot of respect. He was a great asset to the City of Magee. I well remember the family get togethers of the fire department at the old armory building . The firemen would cook steak and chicken, all the firemen’s kids would run around and play on the equipment, and “Mr. Dickey” would always speak words of wisdom. Good times.
