Jimmy Little, long time friend, wrote a testament to Magee on FB last night….when I browsed through the feed this morning, I was shocked and touched when I saw what Jimmy had written.  I agree with Jimmy, there is just something about Magee…it gets in your blood…it gets in your veins…it gets in your heart and stays in your soul.

I wanted to share with ya’ll what Jimmy had written (I hope he doesn’t mind)…the way we were…..friends forever

“to all the people who grew up in Magee Ms it was the King of places to grow up riding around the block, people from other towns coming to the dance on Sat, night and to ride the block it was better than Westland Plaza from where it was Joann Foster,Walter Fagan,Linda Dickey to Mark & Mike Grubbs,Jack Everett.Back from the sixties to Jeff Butler and I was best friends going to football games and seeing Sue Dickey and Wanda Brooks cheer leading to Karen Brooks,Debra Sarsfield,Wyck Neely caring the ball to Chuck Akers and Jeff and I with our Magee Trojan sweat shirts to Wanda Evans,Bob Evans what better place in America to be blessed to grow up,can you people who grew up their imagine if the economy in Magee would allowed all who lived in Magee was still there ,it would be a city a huge city with down to earth good people just thinking of all and hundreds I couldn”t mention just thinking of the good ole days in Magee Ms”
