The Golden Tigers of Tuskegee Institute pulled off a nail bitter as the Tigers defeated Lane 28-22 in double overtime.
Tuskegee running back Johnny Morris took the game into his own hands on the first play of the second overtime, rushing for 25 yards up the middle to for his first touchdown of the year to help the Golden Tigers to a 28-22 win over Lane on Saturday at Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium.
Tuskegee will return to action next weekend as they travel to Huntsville to take on Alabama A&M on Saturday, September 30, at 2 p.m. inside of Louis Crews Stadium.
Magee’s own, Jalen Franks, did not play in Saturday’s game due to a knee injury. Jalen is waiting on x-ray results before resuming play. Jalen is the son of Linda and Willie Franks and is a Magee High School graduate.
