The Scriptural passage for today is taken from Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” God is speaking directly to His people, telling them of His purpose and intent as their Father. He desires to see them filled with hope for the future, to prosper in their efforts, and not do them harm. We, as God’s children, can take comfort in knowing that God’s promises hold true down through the ages. God is the same today, yesterday and forever. Thank you, God, for your constancy and steadfastness.
We have our charge for the day: share the love, joy, and kindness with others with a generous mixture of compassion and gentleness. This is our offering to God. Let it provide a pleasing and acceptable aroma to our Lord. Amen!
