The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 John 5:4-5: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God. For the believer in Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors. We are His heirs and joint heirs through His gift of salvation. We, as a result, claim life everlasting with Him in Glory. “And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace,” as the old hymn tells us. Jesus overcame this world, and we, as His followers, can one day do the same. Amen!
Today, we have another chance to share and spread love, joy, and kindness with others. Let’s do so and not be stingy. Share with a smile and enthusiasm and not with a hang-dog look.
