Fireworks are only allowed around New Year’s and Independence Day. At all other times, selling or using fireworks is not allowed.
When fireworks can be SOLD or DISPLAYED:

From 14 days before the holiday

Until 7 days after the holiday
When fireworks can be USED (set off):

From 7 days before the holiday

Through 7 days after the holiday

On those days, fireworks may only be used between 10:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M.
Special New Year’s exception:

On New Year’s Eve, fireworks may be used from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 A.M. on New Year’s Day
Other special events:

The Board of Aldermen can approve fireworks on other dates only if they are handled by a licensed pyrotechnics professional.
Bottom line:
Only use fireworks during the allowed holiday periods, only during approved hours, and never outside those times unless the city has officially approved it.
