Friday night December 16th, a fire hydrant was “hit and run” on 11th Avenue near Johnny Gregory’s Auto Shop. The busted hydrant caused flooding in several areas of 11th Avenue.
Although I did not talk to a city employee, a friend interviewed the workers in the area. City employees worked through the night trying to shut off the flow of water. The employees were still working today (Saturday).
People who live in the area were able to give the police a description of the truck that hit the hydrant.
