Early Saturday morning, March 16, 2019, proved successful for father and son duo. Greg Boykin and his son Alex were hunting in Jeff Davis County. Upon setting up and calling the turkey into range Alex picked the prime spot to setup. The turkey entered shooting range from Alex’s right where he immediately shot and killed the turkey within 35 steps.
During Spring Break Alex had the choice to go with his friends to Florida or go turkey hunting. For Alex hunting will always trump all other events.
