Attached you will find a copy of the most recent Executive Order, which extends the shelter in place order for an additional seven days, but begins relaxing restrictions on Monday.
– Existing restrictions will remain until Monday
– Beginning on Monday at 8:00AM the following changes will be made:
o Businesses which were previously deemed non-essential may allow retail sales (not services) by drive through and curbside pick-up (social distancing, gathering restrictions, personal hygiene guidelines and recommendations will still be in effect.)
o State park lakes, state lakes and reservoirs are allowed to be open under with the following caveats:
§ Recreational boating, and fishing from boats will be allowed as long as the social distancing is practiced and occupancy does not exceed 50% recommended for any particular watercraft. A minimum of two occupants will always be allowed
§ Fishing from banks will be allowed as long as social distancing is observed.
§ Parks (excluding walking trails,) beaches and sandbars associated with state park lakes, state lakes, and reservoirs will remain closed
§ Boat ramps at state park lakes and state lakes will be open. Boat ramps at Pearl River Valley Supply District parks will be closed if such park is closed. Boat Ramps including Fannin Landing, Madison Landing, and Rankin Landing will be open.
o All Mississippi coastal beaches, beach parks, beach areas, and piers may reopen as determined by local authorities, subject to limitations and restrictions put in place by local authorities. Social distancing and restrictions on gatherings of groups of more than ten people will still be in place.
