Esther Beer Swalm, 89, of Magee, went to her heavenly home Monday, July 27, 2015 at Magee General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Bro. Buddy Keys will officiate.
Graveside service will be held in Natchez National Cemetery Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. (601)849-5031.
Mrs. Swalm was a military wife for 23 years. She enjoyed attending reunions of the 356 Air Squadron with her husband, Frank.
She had a special love for her family and friends. After retiring from the Natchez-Adams Public School System, she enjoyed traveling with the love of her life, Frank. Mrs. Swalm enjoyed volunteering, reading, baking and gardening.
Mrs. Swalm is survived by: Sons – Michael Swalm (Jan), Lawrence, KS; Christopher Swalm (Renee), Slidell, LA; David Swalm (Kathy), Magee; Daughter – Beth Pudas (Matt), Magee; Daughter-in-law – Elizabeth Swalm, Natchez; Brother – Ferd Beer (Bernice), Vidalia, LA; Sister – Ida May Bolian, Jackson; Sisters-in-law – Grayce Mary Kelly, CA; Carolyn Buchanan, CA; Beth Swalm, TX; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Swalm is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Steven Swalm; Son, John Allen Swalm; and Grandson, Peter Andrew Swalm.
