Empower Mississippi releases 2023 Impact Report

Empower Mississippi has released its 2023 Impact Report highlighting the organization’s work in the areas of education, work, and justice. It was a year for significant wins in Mississippi while building a foundation that will lead to greater opportunities in 2024.

A few of the highlights from the report include:

  • Empower Mississippi’s leadership on the critical effort to bring continuity of representation to Mississippi’s judicial system, ensuring that the criminal justice process is fairer to everyone.
  • Mississippi businesses will benefit from the tax reform Empower Mississippi championed that allows for full expensing for capital investments.
  • Embark, Empower Mississippi’s new schools initiative, supported school leaders opening new public charter schools and private microschools across the state.
  • Empower Mississippi hosted its largest ever gathering of state and national policy leaders for its third annual Unleash Mississippi policy summit.

What’s more, Empower Mississippi doubled down on its strategy to invest in local, homegrown leadership through the Ambassador program, giving citizens the tools and platform to tell their stories and engage with lawmakers to bring about meaningful policy change.

Empower Mississippi’s past success and ambitious goals for the future would not be possible without your continued support. We are grateful to you and look forward to working with you throughout the year.
