Elie Catherine Stewart of New Hebron recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff. Elie is pictured with Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann and Senator Andy Berry, who sponsored her visit. Elie is the daughter of Colby and LeeAnn Stewart and attends Simpson County Academy. When asked about the week, Elie said, “It was an enlightening experience. I made many new friends and enjoyed speaking to several of our senators. I learned more about the inner workings of the Senate as well as the Capitol itself. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to page for Senator Berry at the Capitol.”
