On April 17, 2025, at approximately 5:05 PM, Magee Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 49 South near the Fast Track gas station after observing a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. Upon making contact with the driver, officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed open containers inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Frank Jake Brown, was unable to provide a valid driver’s license or proof of liability insurance. Mr. Brown who was well over the legal limit was taken into custody and transported to the Magee Police Department, where he was booked and charged with DUI (First Offense), Open Container, Failure to Use Turn Signal, No Driver’s License, and No Proof of Insurance.
Driving under the influence endangers everyone on the road. Our department remains committed to enforcing the law and keeping our community safe.

while he may have been in the wrong, but no turn signal??? as an excuse to pull someone over. i see that everyday by the young and old . the PD and county and city vehicles as well. i can smell a lawsuit in this mater.
