On the Saturday January 11, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM, an officer with the Magee Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a green Tahoe pulling a trailer after receiving a call about a possible disturbance involving the vehicle after it left a party. The vehicle was located near Siloam Road crossing Highway 49.

Upon making contact with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had consumed multiple beers prior to driving and was well above the .08 legal limit. The driver, identified as Joshua Poole, was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense. He was then transported to the Magee Police Department, where he was booked and processed.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Magee Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of our community by addressing impaired driving. Regardless of who you are, your sex, your looks, your status, or how long you’ve been getting away with it, don’t drink and drive. If you are over the limit, you will be arrested
