Magee’s Annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Chamber of Commerce flowed down the lighted streets of Main Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

The theme for the 2018 Christmas Parade was Dr. Seuss Christmas!

There was a total of 74 entries in the parade this year. Parade goers were entertained with beautiful floats, bands, show choirs, elected officials, and cheerleaders just to name a few.

1st Place float was awarded to the Vault for “Who Vault.”

2nd place float was awarded to PrioirtyOne Bank for “Horton Hears a Whoville Christmas!”

3rd place float was awarded to Boswell Regional Center for “Who Ville”

Magee High School and Junior High Bands performed as well as Mendenhall High School.

Carley May Magee Ms Hospitality waves to the crowd.

Magee Fire Department displayed their trucks with the lights and sirens. The boys scouts marched up Main to start the parade. Magee Mayor Dale Berry, Board of Alderman, Spirit of Magee, Nevis Rankin, and Hall of Fame, Sue Honea, all lead the parade.

 

 

 

 

 

Several floats participated this year! The Cardinals baseball team, Rials Creek Church, Mt. Zion School to name a few.

Magee Show Choir stopped and performed!

Students, maids, and the Wolf from Copiah-Linopln Community College Simpson Campus participated in the parade.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Department had a float.  Little Ceaser’s,  Supervisor District 2 Danny Craft, Ballyhoo, and Ferguson Federal Credit Union all participated in the parade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Simpson County Falcons had three floats with players and cheerleaders.  Donna’s Dance Studio also participated.

 

 

 

 

 

And of course the night was not be complete without an appearance by Jolly Ole Saint Nick and Ms. Clause!
